Replacement buttons for Logitech MX Master 3S
The left click button of my Logitech MX Master 3S started misbehaving after several years of heavy use. Click and drag became sporadic clicking, the occasional click turned into a double-click. Very annoying.
The following switches are suitable drop-in replacements:
- Panasonic EVQ-P0D07K
- Panasonic EVQ-P0E07K
The two models differ by their actuation force. I installed the stronger ones (P0D07K), and they are a bit heavier and significantly louder than the OEM switches. You probably want to use EVQ-P0E07K as a replacement.
The left-click is easier to replace, both because it's on a separate daughter board and because the large ground plane makes the right-click button difficult to solder.
Disassembly is a little tricky, but as usual iFixit has a great guide. Be aware that you may need new adhesive feet, since 3/4 need to be removed to get to the screws.
Good luck!
